Kamloops hosts picnic for city’s seniors in Riverside Park
KAMLOOPS — It was the late great George Burns who said you can’t stop getting older, but you don’t have to get old. On Friday, over 400 seniors took part in the 3rd Annual City of Kamloops Seniors Picnic, an event meant to give those 55-years-old and up an opportunity to socialize and enjoy themselves in Riverside Park.
“We welcome all seniors 55-and-up to Riverside Park to come down to enjoy some free entertainment, free lunch, mingle with your friends and just enjoy,” City of Kamloops Community Events Coordinator Dewi Evans explained.
