Controversial pro-life ads brought to Vernon

VERNON, B.C. — Some controversial ads will be displayed in Vernon today.

The Vernon Pro Life Society will be driving a mobile billboard truck around high profile sites from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. today.

Marlon Bartram, part time executive director with the society, says the truck has been effective in getting their message out in Kelowna, so they decided to bring it to Vernon.

“The truck has two messages, both pro life, and both basically proclaimed the fact that the unborn child is a living human being and therefore a person, and therefore the act of abortion is a violent act that ends the life of a living human being,” Bartram says.

Bartram says reaction to the ads from passing motorists has been mixed.
