PRINCETON, B.C. — It was a tragic long weekend for a Kamloops family.

RCMP Cst. James Grandy says police responded to a fatal dirt biking accident in the Tulameen area late Saturday (June 30) afternoon.

Grandy says a 26 year old man was travelling along Coalmont Road when he lost control of his bike.

“Witnesses at the scene said the bike was travelling at a high rate of speed, and could not manage a corner in the road. It is not believed intoxication was a contributing factor, but speed was.”
