Ashcroft’s emergency department to close temporarily due to lack of available nurses

ASHCROFT, B.C. — The Ashcroft Hospital’s Emergency Department is closing its doors to patients Saturday night due to ‘unexpected limited nurse availability.’

Interior Health put out the notice Saturday afternoon, stating the Emergency Department would be closed at 8 p.m., re-opening on Sunday at 8 a.m.

Services outside these hours will remain the same. 

Interior Health is asking area residents to call 911 in the event of an emergency, or visit the emergency department at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, Lillooet Hospital, or Nicola Valley Hospital in Merritt.
