There are more than 500 Rotary districts worldwide and she’ll be the governor for one of them — an area that encompasses central B.C. and Washington State.

It means Sherry will be overseeing 57 Rotary clubs, helping encourage members to give back to their communities.

“I think it’s quite an honour to be doing the good work of Rotary for communities,” she tells CFJC Today. “I’ll help them build programs and projects like helping them carry on the Rotary tradition of inspiring others to give back.”

Sherry will be sworn in tonight at 7:00 p.m. at the Coast Hotel and Convention Centre.
