Plastics pilot program launched in Kamloops
KAMLOOPS — A pilot program has been launched in Kamloops for one of the fastest-growing types of packaging.
Called ‘Other Flexible Plastic Packaging,’ the pilot program started June 1 and allows residents to take flexible plastic packing to both General Grant’s Recycle Depot locations.
“Accepted materials now include crinkly-type bags (e.g. chip bags and granola bag wrappers), stand up pouches (e.g. baby food and zipper-lock food pouches), and net bags (e.g. fruit packaging),” says the City of Kamloops.
