Kamloops construction sector still on track for record year

KAMLOOPS — Local construction activity was down slightly in May, but the Kamloops building sector is still on track for a record year.
$17.8 million in permits were taken out last month, a 14 per cent decrease compared to the same month in 2017.
But the year-to-date total for this year is now $94.9 million, nearly double what Kamloops saw last year at this time.
While residential construction is trending slightly higher in 2018, commercial construction across all categories is much stronger.
