Kamloops campaign fights to establish cardiac care unit at RIH
KAMLOOPS — Al Patel has a dream of better healthcare for Kamloops citizens, and he has taken it upon himself and the ICCHA/Wish Foundation to achieve it.
The foundation, which was created by Patel, has set a goal of raising $500,000 to begin the process of establishing a cardiac care unit (CCU) at Royal Inland Hospital.
On Friday evening, donors came together for the ICCHA/Wish Foundation Gala at Colombo Lodge.
Through pledges, received donations, and a $300,000 estate donation from Ian and Ingrid Middlemass, the foundation has surpassed its initial goal, and raised more than $600,000.
