KAMLOOPS — Two Kamloops RCMP cruisers crashed into each other Thursday night, though no one was hurt.
Staff Sgt. Jay Wessel says it occurred at approximately 10:20 p.m. when two officers “were responding to an officer in trouble.”
“While en route to assist the officer, a collision occurred between a police vehicle travelling northbound on 5th Avenue and a second police vehicle travelling westbound on Victoria Street. The collision occurred at the intersection of Victoria Street and 5th Avenue.”
He says no other vehicles were involved adding “out of an abundance of caution, the officers involved were assessed at hospital but later released.”
