Kamloops Mounties seek stabbing suspect

KAMLOOPS — One man is in serious condition following a stabbing in downtown Kamloops.

Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says the incident occurred at around 1:00 a.m. on April 28 after an argument broke out between two groups of people waiting for a cab.

“An argument ensued between the victim, who had originally called for the taxi, and the suspect. The suspect pulled a knife and stabbed the victim. The suspect then got into a black BMW X5 with Alberta plates and the vehicle sped away.”

Shelkie says the victim was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

She describes the suspect as white, six feet tall with a slim build and short hair. He was wearing a ball cap, jeans and a sweater.
