Safety concerns close Brennan Creek Recreation Site

BARRIERE — Thinking of heading out to the Brennan Creek Recreation site to unwind? Well, think again.
Safety concerns have closed the site on the west shore of Adams Lake until further notice.
The Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development says recent geotechnical monitoring has confirmed “ongoing land movement and slumping in the area.”
It means the entire site — which includes all campsites, day-use areas and the boat launch — are too unstable for public use and will remain closed “indefinitely.”
