Green Living Expo comes to the Sandman Centre Saturday
KAMLOOPS — Living a more sustainable lifestyle is a goal many city residents strive for in their day-to-day, but putting that into practice can be difficult. If being a greener citizen is on your to-do list, there’s an event at the Sandman Centre this weekend that will help you do so.
The City’s 3rd annual Green Living Expo kicks off Saturday morning at 10:00 am and runs until 4:00 pm. There will be a number of vendors and presenters taking part in this year’s event, including a fashion show featuring used clothing from Value Village and an Iron Chef competition sponsored by the Kamloops Food Bank.
“We’re really creating an event for the community to come out and discover how to live a more sustainable life,” City of Kamloops Sustainability Services Manager Glen Cheetham explained. “There’ll be over 50 exhibitors out to showcase their sustainable products and services, lots of hands-on interactive booths. We really encourage people to come out and have a great time and enjoy the show.”
