KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP spent Saturday combing the waters of the Thompson River after receiving a report of a body near Rabbit Island.
Some paddlers in the area called the police after reportedly discovering the body near the north end of the island around 9:50 am but lost sight of it after paddling to shore.
In a news release, Staff Sergeant Michel Grondin says RCMP searched the area by boat and by plane, but the reported body was not found.
