WolfPack Baseball gets off the Schnied with a four win weekend
KAMLOOPS — Heading into this weekend WolfPack baseball was struggling for consistency. With a 3-8 record and five losses in a row, TRU was hosting the top team in the Canadian College League, the 7-and-1 Vancouver Island Mariners. After the ‘Pack won game one of the weekend in dramatic fashion, they kept that momentum going.
It was just one at-bat, but Vance Fode’s Home Run was the cherry on top for the TRU WolfPack Baseball team on Sunday, as they busted out the brooms against the top team in the CCBC, the VIU Mariners
“This weekend, we put it all together,” WolfPack Head Coach Ray Chadwick said after the game. “We had some great pitching and we swung the bats in all four games, so we ended up breaking out of it and getting a 4-and-0 weekend against a team that was 8-and-1 and leading the league.”
