Motorists can expect ‘a sloppy mess’ on the Coquihalla Highway
KAMLOOPS — Don’t ditch those snow tires if you plan on driving the Coquihalla Highway this weekend.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Lisa West says current conditions are still making for a “bit of a messy drive out there right now.”
“We’re expecting precipitation to continue right through to about midnight. It’s looking like wet flurries or just straight snow flurries until midnight or so. So, we could see accumulations in the two-to-four centimetre range. But as of right now it’s looking like a sloppy mess.”
West says there’s a 60 per cent chance of flurries Friday morning easing to 40 per cent during the day before another system moves in Friday night “bringing snow overnight continuing into Saturday.”
