Downtown Kamloops library set to re-open Friday
KAMLOOPS — Bibliophiles rejoice! The downtown branch of the Kamloops Library is set to reopen this Friday, April 6th after being closed for over a month of renovations.
Staff are hard at work, organizing and re-shelving library materials in preparation for the re-opening. TNRD Chief Librarian Judy Moore says while work isn’t 100 percent completed on the space yet, it’s progressed to the point where it won’t interfere with the operation of the library.
“There is going to be a crew here finishing up, and there’s a big task-at-hand, in terms of re-shelving materials and getting everything ready for the re-opening,” Moore says. “The project went really smoothly, so we’re delighted we’re able to open the doors just a few days earlier than we expected.”
