City of Kamloops to enhance trail signage in wake of rope rescues
KAMLOOPS — Three rope rescues in the past week at Peterson Creek has forced the City of Kamloops to take action.
The latest rescue took place near the waterfalls Monday afternoon. It involved a man and woman after they got into trouble on a rock face. It’s the same general area as the previous two rescues.
“So, we are reviewing the incidents. We will be enhancing some signage in that area reminding people to stay off that particular rock face because it can be very dangerous.” said Parks and Civic Facilities Manager Jeff Putnam noting cases like these are always worrisome.
