KAMLOOPS — Some tense moments in downtown Kamloops Monday afternoon.
RCMP made a “high risk” arrest following reports of a man seen with a handgun in his jacket pocket.
Staff Sgt. Edward Preto says extensive patrols were made for the male and he was eventually located walking on Fourth Avenue and Battle Street just before 3:00 p.m.
“RCMP treated this arrest as high risk and members on scene had their firearms out during the arrest of the male,” Preto said.
