One to hospital after collision near Chase

CHASE — A collision between a semi and a small car on the Trans Canada yesterday afternoon caused one person to be taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.

Chase RCMP got the call around 1:00 PM.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Harper Road and the TCH in Chase.

The small car crossed the center line, hitting the side of the westbound semi.

Police say the car hit the trailer tires, causing the car to flip several times before stopping. The male driver was trapped in the vehicle, and had to be extricated by Chase Fire and Rescue. He was taken to hospital by ambulance.
