Police and fire at scene of an incident in a trailer on Ord Road
KAMLOOPS — UPDATE- 6:15 am — We expect to have more information from RCMP later this morning, but police and fire crews had to respond to an incident at a trailer on Ord Road this morning. Fire crews were called out around 5:00 AM to the trailer in the 1600 block Ord Road to a report of a structure fire. When they arrived, police were already at the scene and in the trailer, having responded to an earlier complaint. Fire crews were held back from entering the building while police were investigating. Witnesses reported to CFJC Today they believe police had their guns drawn when they entered the residence. That hasn’t been confirmed by RCMP at this point. The fire was apparently small in nature, and was largely confined to the porch area.
