Van Kam donates $10K to Habitat for Humanity Kamloops
KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops trucking company has stepped up to do its part to help provide affordable housing in its community.
Van Kam Freightways Ltd. handed off a cheque worth $10,000 to Habitat for Humanity Tuesday morning.
“We are happy we are able to support Habitat for Humanity Kamloops to continue to make affordable housing a reality for families in Kamloops,” says Co-Director of Charities & Donations Lenore Henry. “We wanted to support their work in supporting local families by improving their living conditions and providing opportunities they did not previously have.”
Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity Kamloops Kim Cassar Torreggiani welcomed the news.
