KAMLOOPS — A Valentine’s Day traffic stop near Kamloops was decidedly unromantic for a Surrey couple.
On February 14, a member of RCMP Central Interior Traffic Services stopped the couple for speeding on Highway 5.
The driver didn’t have a driver’s license and the vehicle was not registered to him, raising the officer’s suspicions, as did their responses to questions about their travel plans.
A search of the vehicle yielded a large quantity of what police believe to be cocaine in the trunk.
