14-year-old boy dies from suspected drowning near Golden

GOLDEN, B.C. — RCMP and the BC Coroner’s Service are investigating a suspected drowning near Golden.
The BC Ambulance Service responded to a report of a possible drowning in a hot tub at a home just before 5 p.m. Friday.
A 14-year-old boy from Toronto was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Golden-Field RCMP Cst. Spencer Lainchbury said the death did not appear suspicious.
