Kamloops building sector white hot through snowy February

KAMLOOPS — The snowy February did little to cool down the scorching Kamloops building sector.

According to the City of Kamloops, builders took out $7.4 million in permits last month, a 42 per cent increase over the same month in 2017.

That total includes nine new single family home construction permits, and four commercial buildings.

For the year to date, the city has issued $21.9 million in permits to Kamloops developers, more than double the amount at the same time last year.
