CNIB celebrates 100 years of service
KAMLOOPS — The Canadian National Institute for the Blind will celebrate its 100th anniversary in Kamloops Saturday.
Program Coordinator for Peer Support Services Les Nolin says this year also marks 28 years since the CNIB’s Kamloops office opened its doors.
“So, it will involve not only having mobile day with the assisted technology and low vision equipment there, but we’ll also have some antique items set up and memorabilia from when the office opened up 28 years ago.”
He says there will also be an area where people can participate in activities wearing simulator glasses to simulate the different levels of vision loss.
