Enhancing student wellbeing at Twin Rivers Education Centre
KAMLOOPS — Pink Shirt Day was celebrated at Twin Rivers Education Centre today, with the school’s annual Wellness Fair.
Several social agencies, health services, and community partners set up shop in the gymnasium, to provide students with information on what kinds of services are available, to support and enhance their well-being.
“Our students need to know what’s available in the community for them to help them be well, physical, mentally, emotionally, socially, and Kamloops has an abundance of organizations who are just devoted to supporting youth, so instead of saying go down to Victoria Street find the agency, we bring the agency to them,” says Beth Dye, Vice-President of Twin Rivers Education Centre.
