CJ’s Nightclub to close after March 3 show

KAMLOOPS — One of Kamloops’ most popular nightclubs is closing its doors.

In a post on its Facebook page, CJ’s Nightclub says it will close after a final show on Saturday, March 3.

CJ’s began as Jack Daniel’s in the 400-block of Seymour Street 32 years ago, before changing its name to Cactus Jack’s Saloon and finally CJ’s.

The club moved from Seymour Street to its current location at Fifth Avenue and Lansdowne Street in 2009.

CJ’s was listed for sale earlier this year.

CFJC Today has yet to hear back from a representative of the nightclub.

Kammerce Promotions says it is working with the bar to ensure scheduled shows, including an April 30 event featuring rock bands I Mother Earth and Finger Eleven, will be able to proceed.
