TRU to host panel discussion on opioid crisis
KAMLOOPS — The opioid crisis will the focus of a panel discussion at Thompson Rivers University Monday night.
It will be hosted by fourth year Bachelor of Science and Nursing student Marina Troke, with funding she received through Canada’s 150 Task Force.
“The focus will be on the concept of disenfranchised grief around those who have lost loved ones to this crisis.”
Troke describes disenfranchised grief as “the kind of grief that you can’t express or isn’t recognized as much through society.”
