B & E suspect threatens apartment resident

KAMLOOPS — A harrowing experience for an apartment resident on Arrowstone Drive.

The Kamloops RCMP says this (Tuesday) morning around 2:15 a.m. a resident was in his bedroom on the ground level when someone broke the window and entered the room.

“The male suspect had a knife and threatened the occupant if he didn’t hand over his valuables,” says Cpl. Jodi Shelkie. “The suspect then escaped with a laptop, a cell phone and the victim’s wallet. The victim was not injured.”

She says attempts to track down the suspect with a police dog were unsuccessful.

The suspect is described as having dark skin, 25 years old, six feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black toque, black winter jacket with a fur-lined hood and carrying a black backpack. The knife used is described as a Bowie knife with a wooden handle.
