RCMP release holiday roadcheck statistics

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP took 24 impaired drivers off the roads during the holiday season.
Sergeant Darren Michels says during the Christmas-New Years period, thousands of vehicles were checked throughout the City.
Michels says during the checks, they issued 9-90 day immediate roadside suspensions, 1-7 day and 6-3 day immediate roadside prohibitions, 6-24 hour suspensions and 2-12 hour suspensions.
Michels says the officers involved in the roadside checks also found one person with a criminal warrant, made 9 drug seizures and seized two firearms.
