Snowfall warning issued for Kamloops region

Dec 29, 2017 | 11:51 AM

KAMLOOPS — Another wintry blast is headed Kamloops’ way.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the South Thompson. The system is expected to bring 10 centimetres of snow to Kamloops and 20 to the highest elevations of the Coquihalla Highway.

“Around 10 centimetres of snow tonight in Kamloops and we do expect the precipitation to start easing late overnight, early in the morning as the system moves further east and that will leave way to cold and dry conditions for the remainder of the week into next week,” says Meteorologist Andre Besson.

And if you must travel the Coquihalla, he urges motorists to be prepared.
