KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Search and Rescue normally help humans.
However earlier this week it was a deer that was in distress and in need of aid.
KSAR rescued a deer trapped on a frozen lake for three days on Monday, volunteer Mike Ritcey saying it wasn’t the first time he rescued an animal.
Ritcey says it was the right thing to do when he set out with a fellow volunteer to pull a stranded deer off Tunkwa Lake.
