Kamloops B & E’s send two to hospital

KAMLOOPS — Update:RCMP have a suspect in custody after two separate home invasions in Dallas late yesterday (Monday) afternoon.

A flood of police cars and ambulances responded to a call of a residential breakin in progress about 4:10 PM yesterday.

When they arrived, they found there had been two separate breakins and two separate homeowners were seriously injured in a confrontation with the male suspect.

Staff Sergeant Bob Fogarty says the homeowners were taken to Royal Inland Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, the suspect, an adult male from Kamloops who is known to police, was arrested near the scene of the two incidents and is in custody.

Police are continuing their investigation. 

 

LAST NIGHT :The Kamloops RCMP have confirmed a residential break and enter in progress is what led to the heavy police presence in Dallas tonight.

Staff Sgt. Bob Fogarty says at 4:10 p.m. Mounties responded to the incident in the Campbell Creek neighbourhood and upon arrival, found two separate homeowners had been injured in separate altercations with the male suspect.

Both adult homeowners are currently in hospital with serious injuries.

Fogarty says the suspect, an adult male from Kamloops who is known to police, has been arrested near the scenes and is in custody.

The investigation continues.

 

Earlier: A heavy police presence in the Campbell Creek neighbourhood of Kamloops tonight.

CFJC Today Video Journalist Adam Donnelly is on scene and says around 10 police cars and an ambulance have descended on the area. He says it’s unclear what is going on.

The Kamloops RCMP have yet to comment on the situation.
