Flag person hit near Vernon

KAMLOOPS — A serious incident has closed down Highway 6 in Lavington, east of Vernon.

Lavington Fire Chief Marty Wright says a female flag person was hit by a car near School Road, and had to be air ambulanced to hospital with undetermined injuries.

The chief says the driver of the car involved did stop, and police are investigating.

No other details are being released.

Highway 6 is closed to traffic near the site, with vehicles being detoured on School Road and Hill Drive.
