KAMLOOPS — Motorists take note: the Quilchena Bridge on Highway 5A will be fully closed to traffic on Nov. 14 and 16 for bridge maintenance.
The bridge, which is 25 kilometres north of Merritt, will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. The work will replace timber caps over two of the instream piers. The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure says it will ensure the continued safety and reliability of the corridor.
Drivers will still have access to Highway 5A on either side of the bridge. Those travelling from Merritt to Kamloops are advised to remain on the Coquihalla Highway.
