KAMLOOPS — Following gunfire at the Tournament Inn, the Kamloops RCMP say it’s a property known to them for suspicious activity.
Police say officers frequent the inn quite often — from 9-1-1 calls to regular patrols to keep a close watch on the area.
“Since the beginning of this year, we’ve been called there over 30 times,” said Cpl. Jodi Shelkie. “But many times we’re there on our own. It’s a place we are regularly known to patrol.”
The owner of the Tournament Inn says he’s cleaned up the place in the last couple years. But RCMP say problems continue, and they’ve been called to the inn for everything from theft to assault, and drug use that they say happens on the property.
