Las Vegas has run into a rash of injuries to three goaltenders.

The Golden Knights put the SOS out to Ferguson after Oscar Dansk left with an injury in last nights game against the Islanders, leaving Maxime Legace as their only healthy goaltender.

“I think even when two guys went down it went through my mind, and when Oscar went down, about two minutes later I got the call” says Ferguson.

According to the Golden Knights Dansk will be out for the remainder of the teams road trip, which includes tonight against the Rangers, then to Boston, Ottawa and Toronto before ending November 7th in Montreal.

Barring a return of one of the other injured netminders, Ferguson could be with the Golden Knights until at least the middle of next week.

Blazers general manager Stu MacGregor says they are not counting on having Ferguson back for two games this weekend against the Vancouver Giants.

15-year old Dylan Garand has been called up from the Delta Hockey Academy, where he is 7-and-0.

Barring an expected early return by Ferguson, Garand will back up Max Palaga for the weekend games against Vancouver.
