KAMLOOPS — A major first step in a new lifestyle development at Thompson Rivers University takes place this afternoon.
The Reach project is a long-term project involving several developments on campus that will provide new lifestyle alternatives, similar to other large universities around the country.
The Creston House development is being built by the Cape Group from Vancouver, and ground breaking takes place this afternoon at the site behind Old Main.
The 56-unit project is about 40 percent sold, according to Cape Group President Reisa Schwarzman.
She says the project has a mix of one and two bedroom units, plus 3- bedroom penthouse units, and she says she expects the project will appeal to a variety of people, including empty nesters, University professors, and those who might want to invest and rent out the units to students.
Secure parking, a variety of floor plans and amenities, Schwarzman says, will provide a great lifestyle for people who move there.
