KAMLOOPS — A medical incident caused a runaway semi on the Trans Canada Highway Friday afternoon.
Kamloops RCMP Staff Stg. Robert Daly says a man suffered a medical incident while travelling west on the Trans-Canada Highway near Highland Road.
The incident resulted in a runaway semi, with the single vehicle tractor trailer unit travelling across the highway and over the concrete barrier before striking the traffic lights at Highland Road.
It finally came to rest in a nearby ditch off the highway.
