New environmental report open for public comment
KAMLOOPS — New information on the proposed KGHM-Ajax mine project is up on the B.C. Environmental Assessment Office web site for public comment.
The material was posted Tuesday and the comment period will last for the next two months.
There are five documents relating to the project on the site.
The report in essence says the mine project will likely cause adverse effects to First Nations who use the Jacko Lake area, but won’t cause environmental harm to Kamloops.
