Pierce Lepage wins decathlon at Canadian track and field championship

OTTAWA — Pierce Lepage of Whitby, Ont., won the men’s decathlon on Wednesday at the Canadian track and field championships.

He finished the 10-event sport with 7,948 points.

Taylor Stewart (7,882) of London, Ont., took silver and American Robert Robinson (7,650) was third.

Olympic bronze medallist Damian Warner, also from London, decided not to compete in the decathlon at nationals this year, instead participating in individual events.
