RiverDogs hyped for Canada Day Classic baseball

KAMLOOPS — It’s become a Canada Day long weekend tradition around these parts — and kicks off two weekends of top notch baseball.

This weekend it’s the Daley and Company Canada Day Classic, back for its 17th year —- featuring some of the best triple “AAA” midget teams from B.C. and Alberta.

It’s been a long drought for the host team.

The RiverDogs have been to the well in the final four times, but haven’t hoisted the championship trophy since the first tournament in 2001.
