Evacuation ordered in Cherry Creek

KAMLOOPS — The Thompson-Nicola Regional District has issued an evacuation order for 11 properties in Cherry Creek.
The order was issued at 8:00 p.m. Friday evening, due to “the potential danger to life and health,” and a State of Local Emergency has been declared.
Emergency officials say the evacuation is due to a “rapidly moving flooding event.”
