Construction company fined following fatal fall

KAMLOOPS — Worksafe BC has fined a Vancouver-based contracting firm for safety violations that led to a man’s death following a fall at a Kamloops construction site.
On November 25, 2016, 45 year old Sean Donetz was working at the Cityview Shopping Centre, cleaning up spray foam overspray to a building under construction.
While Donetz was standing on a scissor lift, he lost his balance and fell about three metres to the concrete floor below.
He died in hospital six days later.
