Merritt Centennials win, force game six

KAMLOOPS — The Merritt Centennials defeated the Penticton Vees 5-4 in the B.C. Hockey League playoffs.
Rylan Van Unen’s first playoff goal with 6:39 left in the third period broke a 4-4 tie.
Merritt had period leads of 2-1 and 4-3.
That keeps the Centennials alive in the series, with Penticton holding a 3-2 lead in the best of seven.
Game six is tonight in Merritt.
In Vernon the Vipers defeated the Trail Smoke Eaters 6-2 to win the series four-games-to0ne.
