Winter not done with Coquihalla

KAMLOOPS — While the valley bottoms enjoy the belated arrival of spring, winter hasn’t loosened its icy grip on the high mountain passes.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Coquihalla Highway between Merritt and Hope this morning.

Snow is expected to begin falling this afternoon and through the overnight until early Saturday morning.

The forecast calls for between 15 and 20 centimetres in total.
