Centennials sweep round one of BCHL playoffs

KAMLOOPS — The Merritt Centennials have swept the first round in the B.C. Hockey League playoffs.

Stephen Seeger’s second goal of the game at 2:03 of overtime lifted the Centennials to a 4-3 win over the West Kelowna Warriors.

Merritt opened the scoring before the Warriors took the lead 3-1.

The Centennials scored late in the second and then tied the game with 26 seconds left in the third.

Merritt will play Penticton or Vernon in the next round.
