Robbery, crash in Cache Creek creates commotion
CACHE CREEK, B.C. — RCMP have released details about a frightening robbery in Cache Creek yesterday.
It began at about 11:00 a.m., when a man walked into a laundromat and robbed a woman at knifepoint, taking her car keys and cell phone.
In possession of the woman’s car, the robber took off in the direction of Cache Creek itself, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the creek.
Bystanders, unaware of the suspect’s prior actions, helped him out of the car and he fled on foot.
