KAMLOOPS — It’s a sad fact that every day, children in our community simply do not get enough to eat, but thanks to an initiative by the downtown rotary club, there will be fewer children in Kamloops with empty bellies.

The initiative is called the Starfish program – and it will help out children who attend Arthur Hatton, elementary school. It was the brainchild of Christopher Seguin and downtown Rotary club president Kevin O’Toole, who wanted to do something to alleviate the hunger problem. Together with the Kamloops food bank, and school district 73, they decided to target Arthur Hatton as the first school in the program
