TRU basketball teams lose to UBC in season opener

KAMLOOPS — The TRU WolfPack men’s and women’s basketball teams opened the Canada West season with losses at home Friday.
The UBC Thunderbirds defeated the men’s team 96-60 at the Tournament Capital Centre.
The women also fell to UBC 72-46.
The WolfPack play the same teams Saturday. The women play at 5 p.m. and the men at 7.
